58°59,31’N 05°48,90’E. Lindøy is the gem among the many islands around Stavanger, and has an excellent guest pier although often crowded. If no berth is available, make fast to the rocks near by. Note the wide shallow just south of the guest pier. Lindøy has nice walking paths through beautiful forest and agricultural land. A school building, formerly used for children with behaviour problems is situated on the island, but is no longer running. Every summer a music festival is held on the island. Hellesøy and Kalvøy lays south of Lindøy. Especially the strait between Hellesøy and Kalvøy is a great swimming and mooring spot in light winds (see below).
